Earlier this year we were all devastated to hear about the sudden death of one of Better’s young lifeguards, Ash O’Kelly, following a tragic motorbike accident.
In memory of Ash, and with the permission of his family, Better, with support from the Friends of Jesus Green Lido, have arranged for a bench to be installed at the lido.
On Wednesday 29 October at 2.00pm, we’ll be holding a small ceremony at the poolside to reveal the bench and a memorial plaque. The bench is already in situ, at the town end of the lido, in a quiet corner under the trees.
Ash’s family will be in attendance, and we would like to welcome anyone who knew him to come along to pay their respects.
